Windshield Repair
Little chips and cracks in the glass can be patched up as part of a windshield repair. A specific resin is injected into the broken area, bonding with the glass and hardening to restore its original strength. The epoxy used in the repair process is created to match the refractive index of the glass, making the repair practically unnoticeable. Repairing often takes less than an hour and is a low-cost alternative.
Windshield Replacement
Windshield replacements become unavoidable when the damage is too extensive for repair or its structural integrity is at risk. In this case, the windshield is first removed and a new one installed. Compared to windshield repair, replacement takes more time and money.
